Javascript Samples on Woosmap developers documentation hosted on JSFiddle

1 min read

On Woosmap documentation for developers you can find a lot of samples to understand how to use each part of our Javascript API. Under this section we now use JSFiddle, an online code playground that provides a customized environment (based on user selections) to test (or fiddle with) your JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code right inside your browser. Each JSFiddle sample uses code hosted on GitHub on our Woosmap organisation.

The JSFiddle integration

Getting up and running with JSFiddle is easy. Each sample integration offers a menu composed of four entries:

  • Result: The results of executing the CSS, HTML, and JavaScript entered into the corresponding sections of the fiddle.
  • JavaScript: JavaScript source dealing with the Woosmap Javascript API is entered in this area.
  • HTML: The structured HTML and Mustache templates, used for rendering Woosmap HTML elements like the Map container, a Search container, InfoWindow etc…
  • CSS: Enter CSS to be applied to the HTML used. It is placed between <style> elements in the header portion of the page.

If you want to go deeper with JSFiddle and Woosmap Javascript API, we strongly recommend you to try it by clicking the “Edit in JSFiddle” link on the right hand of each integration. Techrepublic has also published a good tutorial to deal with JSFiddle.
